INDUSTRIAL CITY OPERATIONS (MIC)
Primary purpose of job
Plan, direct, manage and control the operations and maintenance of all Waste Operation Facilities (Landscaping, Solid
Waste Management, City Cleaning, Landfills, Sewage Treatment Plants, and Hazardous Waste Treatment Centre) and
ensure highly reliable, sustainable and safe operations to meet customer, regulatory compliance and asset integrity needs.
Experience & Skills
• Minimum 15 years of working experience in the Chemical / Petrochemical Plant or Environmental Fields with exposure to
Wastewater Treatment Plant / Hazardous Waste Management Facilities / Solid Waste Management / Land scaping with at
least 5 years of middle level Management Experience.
- Knowledge of prevailing Hazardous and Non-hazardous Waste Treatment Technologies, applicable laws and regulations
US EPA SW-846, US EPA 40CFR261, US EPA 40CFR264 and US EPA 40CFR268 is preferred.
- Strong technical and scientific background to analyse and interpret pertinent data and documentation as well as to
communicate with various professionals.
- Excellent time, contract and project management and priority setting skills and experience.
- Excellent administrative, communication and decision-making skills in normal and emergency business situations.
- Strong computer competency and related skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English with strong negotiation and communication skills. Knowledge of Arabic will be an
advantage.
Education
B.Sc./B.Tech in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from an internationally recognised educational institution.
