Oversee day-to-day function of graduate and undergraduate medical education

programs.

Manage writing, updating, and! distribution of all residency and fellowship manuals,

resident contracts, institution and program policies, correspondence, brochures, and

other printed materials of the department.

Assist the Director of Medical Education (DME) and all Program Directors in maintaining

American Osteopathic Association (AOA) institutional and program accreditation.

Assist

with Crosswalk preparation, curricular changes, and site visits for all programs.

Serve as primary contact for all needed associations.

Organize all department meetings including report preparation.

Assist the DM E and Program Directors in providing information required by Corpus

Christi Medical Center to meet Joint Commission requirements.

Coordinate and participate in administrative and other aspects of residency recruiting,

including serving as the primary contact person between applicants and program, serve
as program hostess, and prepare for and oversee rank meeti! ngs and list preparation and

submission.

Assist in and coordinate institution's involvement in the AOA Intern/Resident

Registration Program and the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).

Assist with the resident rotation schedule and coordinate rotation schedules with

community physician who serve as attending physicians to set the schedule.

Maintain three year rotation schedule for each resident to ensure all Accreditation and

Specialty Board requirements are met for graduation.

Prepare, distribute, and update all schedules for faculty, residents, and students,

including attending physician, preceptors, and clinic

&

call schedules.

Coordinate and prepare institution related correspondence.

Meet information requests received by various sources including but not limited to

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, AOA, American College of Os! teopathic

Internists (ACOI), American College of Family Physicians (ACOFP), and the Texas OPTI.

Organize new and annual resident orientation.

Maintain educational files, including evaluations, conference attendance, and

timesheets, on residents.

Prepare and distribute resident's information such as address,

pager numbers, license numbers, etc.

Process leave of absence requests.

Proctor in-training and in-service examinations.

Provide administrative support to the DME, Program Directors, residents, and students.

Act as a liaison between programs and outside agencies as requested.

Attend as requested institutional, state, and national meetings.

Prepare and maintain affiliation agreements and business associate agreements for all

educational sites.

Oversee with faculty recruiting and interviews.

Organize end-of-year ceremonies.

Qualifi! cations

Qualifications inculde:
Previous administra! tive office work is required. A background in graduate medical education is

desired.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, and discretion.

Computer and human resource management skills.

Flexibility in meeting day-to-day demands of the institution, program faculty, residents

and students.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative team,

program directors, faculty, residents, students, program personnel, community faculty,

and medical schools.

Ability to effectively build working relationships with outside agencies and other

programs.

Strong knowledge of AOA, ACOI, and ACOFP requirements.

Detail oriented.

Education:
High school graduate with Associates Degree or equivalent experience. Bachel! or's Degree or

higher is desirable.
