The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7-kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.
What you will be doing:
This position oversees the storage and distribution of construction materials and equipment for the project. You will work closely with the project team, logistics providers, and suppliers to ensure that materials are delivered to the site on time and in the quantities required.
Key Responsibilities:
Some of the things you may get involved with but may not be limited to the following
- Manage the warehouse team and ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and effectively
- Take responsibility to manage inventory levels, ensuring that all stock movements are accurately recorded.
- Receive incoming shipments, inspecting materials for damage and accuracy, and ensure that all items are accurately recorded and put away in their proper locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring that all stock levels are properly maintained and that all stock movements are recorded
- Inform proactively site managers about stock levels
- Work closely with logistics providers and suppliers to ensure that materials are delivered to the site on time and in the quantities required
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate KPI dashboards and reports, ensuring that all data is properly collected, analysed, and presented in a timely manner
The successful candidate will have:
- Supply Chain certification is a plus (CSPC, CIPS, etc.)
- Full Class 1 Driver's Licence
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with experience in managing a team
- Demonstrated experience working with high levels of accuracy
