DENTAL PATIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE / FRONT OFFICE
South Central Family Health Center, a non-profit community health center providing services to the uninsured and underserved for more than 40 years, seeks to hire a bilingual Dental Patient Services Representative for its busy dental clinic. Looking for passionate individuals to provide excellent customer service and serve the South Central Los Angeles community.
FUNCTIONS: The Dental Front Office/Dental Patient Services Representative is responsible for registering and processing patients for appropriate appointments and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responding to patient inquiries. Scheduling appointments. Making reminder and follow up calls. Financial screening of patients, insurance or other dental coverage verification. Collecting payments. Intake & outtake of patients. Internal and External referral processing, scheduling, and follow up. Telephone outreach to patients on managed care list. Encounter billing for Managed Care and HMO contracts. Assist in opening/closing clinic. Other duties may be assigned as required by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have excellent communication skills and be detailed oriented. NextGen knowledge, a plus. Must be bilingual/bi-literate English/Spanish. Work experience in a dental clinic setting preferred.
Salary: Commensurate with experience. Full benefits, including medical, dental, vision and 403b
