We are currently seeking an Industrial Hygiene Consultant to join our IH team, providing expertise and support to our policyholders/accounts with complex and challenging health risks in northern California. You will be a key participant in our statewide campaign to measure and reduce crystalline silica exposures in the engineered and natural stone countertop industries. You will help save lives.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and evaluations for diverse businesses insured by State Fund.
- Recommend and advise on engineering controls and work practices to minimize employee injury, illness, and workers' compensation costs.
- Contribute to webinars, trainings, and content creation for State Fund's safety website.
Respirator medical clearance and fit-testing are mandatory for this position.
Desired Qualifications and skills
- Certified Industrial Hygienist credential or the ability and willingness to obtain it.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the industrial hygiene field.
- Professional experience providing industrial hygiene surveys and consultations in the workplace.
- Proficient in methodologies and tools to anticipate, evaluate, recognize, and control occupational health hazards.
- Effective written and oral communication, including exceptional report and safety article writing skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret workplace safety regulations regarding worker compensation and occupational safety and health.
- Proficiency in interpreting charts, graphs, and mechanical relationships.
- Ability to research and summarize complex industrial hygiene-related topics.
- Skill in developing and delivering training presentations to the public, employees, employers, and internal staff.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
