As an academic medical center, Houston Methodist Hospital is dedicated to excellence in patient care, patient safety and the quality of the healthcare experience The Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine is curren tly seeking an additional Academic Hospitalist/Internist to join our team. The position would still be primarily inpatient but also include a couple of half days per week precepting the Internal Medicine residents’ continuity clinic . Interested candidates should have academic interest and focus, and ideally have previous academic experience although 2017 residents are also encouraged to apply. Academic internists will play a vital role in teaching medical students and house officers.
Applicants must have an M.D.degree, or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified in Internal Medicine. Applicants should have qualifications to meet junior faculty or senior faculty rank.
