Incorporated in 1971, San Antonio Medical Associates has a history of providing excellent medical care to the residents of South Texas. Comprised of Drs. Karl Hempel, Charles Briseño and Dina Goytia-Leos, San Antonio Medical Associates is actively seeking a board certified internist to join their traditional practice. Located in the Nix Professional Building in downtown San Antonio, SAMA provides both inpatient and outpatient medical care. The Nix Building houses a 178-bed hospital along with specialty offices such as Urology, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Wound Care and Radiology which makes the location ideal for our type of practice. Nix Health has patient and physician satisfaction scores of 99% (as noted by Press-Gainey).
Enjoy a call schedule of 1:4, partnership, great support staff and an extremely collegial environment. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and have a “Patient First†philosophy. Spanish speaking a plus. Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine required.
